Their attention is on anything but math. Their attitude ranges anywhere between apathy and rebellion. I struggle with this because there is still plenty of work that needs to be done and I&#8217;ve been entrusted to make sure these kids get it done. At the same time I have to remember that I&#8217;m &#8220;just a sub&#8221; and the responsibility is not mine but theirs and that of their teacher. I can&#8217;t do the work for them nor can I force a better attitude from them.
