I know it’s better that I deleted my Facebook but I swear! It’s a way bigger pain in the ass to create a new entry here than on Facebook. It’s probably better since it makes me think more about it before posting but still! way too much on my mind from personal to macro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve been dominated for quite a while now by thoughts of retirement even though it’s still ten years out at least. They involve the various routes to retirement (assuming all lump funds come available like I believe they will.) They range from buying land now in Tennessee to build on after retirement to using the aforementioned retirement lump funds to buy a boat and sailing the Great Loop<\/a>\"\" <\/p>\n\n\n\n

saying screw it all to the United States and moving somewhere like the Philipppines<\/a> \"\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

or Belize<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m a California native so I’d like to point out that none of the places I’ve looked at\/lusted after are in California. I love the concept of California but the politics have obliterated it. Eventually it will be a place of the extreme rich and their vassals, their serfs, their permanent servant class. As an educator, I have no interest in staying simply to be abused by the progeny of rich, entitled assholes. I’ve seen them in their natural environments in my capacity as a ride share driver and it just about makes me vomit just thinking about it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
