It certainly helps to get the virtual tongue wagging when well lubricated, no? I’m surprised at my last post because I was well beyond my common standard of lubrication.

So, here’s some shotgun thoughts from a semi-inebriated poster.

Election season is fully upon us. Signs are in full bloom at every intersection and I recognize a good number of the names upon said signs. I just wish I knew more about positions than simple signs can communicate. I’ve learned recently that Cal State Fullerton refuses to send student teachers to PYLUSD because of the school board’s stance on Critical Race Theory. That sounds like a state sponsored entity (CSUF) trying to influence elections (PYLUSD School Board) if you ask me. As far as I’m concerned, CSUF can just fuck right off.

I’ve managed to break two vehicles this year costing me thousands in repairs and lost wages. The first time was back in July when I was returning from Los Angeles/Hollywood into Orange County on the 57 south and hit some traffic cones. Hitting them at 10 MPH or less wouldn’t be good but it certainly wouldn’t have done the damage to my car that hitting them at 75 MPH did. Rather than bore readers with details I’ll simply say that this event accelerated my search for a new car. Okay, I’ll bore you this much – never EVER insure you car with ESurance. They are the absolute worst!! I’m pretty sure I mentioned in my last post that I had to incur some rather serious credit card debt in order to get the new car now. After a month with my new car I managed to seriously mangle the undercarriage of that car. In total I’ve been off the road since early July minus one month. I have to be honest – I’d be much happier out driving for Uber/Lyft and making a few bucks than sitting here in front of my computer posting shit.

Totally unrelated – I’ve found a couple of things I can be a collector of. I live with roommates and don’t have much if any storage space where I live. Therefore, if I want to be a collector of anything it can’t be anything like cars or bikes or anything that takes up space. I’ve therefore discovered a couple of things that I can collect or be a connoisseur of – men’s fragrances/colognes/scents and knives. I’ve got a good head start with fragrances because I can find clone scents that are almost as good as the originals if not better. My most recent buys are Afnan 9PM and Ultrared from Paco Rabanne. Both are sweet disposables but neither comes close to Qaa’ed from Lattafa or Perlador from Borouj.

Knives don’t work that way. You can’t buy a knife clone of another knife. Looks and appearances might be doable but not when it comes to the steel from which the knives are made. The Civivi Badlands Vagabond is my entry purchase into knife collecting. It’s more than I wanted or was expecting to spend but it was too good to pass up.

Tangentially related in as much as I thought about collecting watches once upon a time. I gave thought to collecting watches at one point but the cost per watch ramped up prohibitively once one moved beyond the basics. My starter watch was/is the Casio Duro. I LOVE this watch but it does need a crystal replacement. I’d love to get a sapphire crystal to replace the mineral crystal it came with.

I’ve found that my most recent posts begin with a healthy (or unhealthy depending on the point of view) dose fo boooooze.
